Joan Nicholson 2013

Another year passes and once again the group held our internal competition named for our founder when the Circle was formed 30+ years ago. This year the challenge was to write something suitable for Young Adults of less than a 1000 words.
The competition was judged by students of St Mary’s, whose school magazine regularly features prominent politicians and celebrities.

The winner was Dennis Conlon, for his monologue style story ‘Tadpoles’ and he earned the Joan Nicholson Cup for the year to great acclaim!
