Happy New Year!

Our first meeting back of 2022 is this week, 06/01/22, 8pm. We are keeping on with our hybrid meetings so let us know if you want the Zoom link or if you would like to join us in person.

13/01 is our Resolution Night! Did you promise yourself you would do more writing this year? This is the evening for you, with plenty of inspiring prompt-based activities and useful tips to get your pen moving.

20/01 is the Short Story Awards night with guest judge Spencer Leigh. The results will be announced and we will hear some valuable insight and hopefully meet several of the winners.

Poetry 2021 judgement and winners are now available to read and enjoy on the Comp Results link (on the right unless you are on mobile).

Short Story 2021 judge has been confirmed and will launch very soon! We look forward to see what people will come up with this year…

Tonight (13th May) we welcome notable author, Patricia Caliskan, back to lay down judgement for our internal competition. Let us know on https://www.facebook.com/southport.writerscircle/ if you want to join in.

On Saturday 15th at 11am, we will be going ahead with our public workshop, open to all ages/abilities. We will also be putting the meeting link on this site temporarily on the morning to make it easier for people to join, so watch this space.

Also: Our poetry comp is embroiled in the shortlisting at the moment, simmering nicely. Results expected late June/ early July.
