Come all ye local writers of poetry, prose, plays and other! Maximum of 500 words for prose, max of 7 stanzas for poetry! Sensible lengths for anything else!
Please arrive for 7.45 at Birkdale library to give us time to arrange lists of readers.

Joan Nicholson Competition 2012
Our recent internal competition was a smashing sucess with a great many entries. Our judge, the illustrious Tim Quinn (http://www.mightyquinnmanagement.com/) kindly judged it for us and eventually decided that Sean Heslin’s story ‘Letter of Encouragement’ was the overall winner and this years recipient of the Joan Nicholson Cup. Thanks once again to Tim and well done Sean!
